Also, if you plan on putting a baby bird back be careful. My aunt told me about a baby bird she kept putting back before she realized that it was a baby quail. Quails nest on the ground…. So anyhow, you pretty much can leave the bird and it should be fine. Birds are known to get excited about flying, and they’ll jump early, but they’ll still be taken care of. Yup! Just kind of use common sense. If there are cats around, the baby’s obviously not very feathered, and the other babies are in the nest, put him back! If you don’t see a nest he’s obviously from then he could be a ground-nesting baby, and if he’s pretty feathered then he’s probably learning to fly! And for the love of the baby DO NOT feed them mushed up worms. Baby birds eat partially digested whatever the adult bird eats. Worms can KILL a baby bird. Yup!
